Instructions to Apply for a Non-Teaching Position
1. The Wayne County Civil Service Application is used for Clerk, Cleaner, Food Service Helper, Groundskeeper, Messenger, School Monitor, Maintenance Worker, Teacher Aide, Bus Driver and other service employee positions.
Please fill out the application and mail it to the District Office at 11631 Salter-Colvin Road, Wolcott, NY 14590. If you would like to drop off your application to the District Office, we are temporarily located at 6188 W. Port Bay, Wolcott, NY 14590 (the old Electromark building).
Additionally, New York State Education Law requires that all employees of school districts be fingerprinted prior to employment. If you are offered employment with our district, you will need to make an appointment to have the fingerprinting done. Contact MorphoTrust by going to their website and clicking on the New York State on the map, or by calling 877-472-6915. On the MorphoTrust system, NYS Education Department uses a code: ORI NUMBER: TEACH and SERVICE CODE: 14ZGR7. New York State Education Department requires a fee of $100.25 at the time your prints are taken.
After your application and references have been received, you may be contacted for an interview.
2. Download and complete a civil service application. Save the application to your desktop and print a copy for your records.
3. Include the following items to complete your application packet:
- Letter of intent
- Provide name, address, phone number and email address for at least three references.
